More fun in Omaha...

While we were in Omaha for the College World Series, we were told by many locals to visit the park and huge slide in downtown Omaha. So one night, we set off on a hunt for the emphamis slide. Because of all the hype, we were expecting an enormous slide! After much searching and wrong turns downtown, we finally found the slide. Although the slide was large, it was not exactly what we had visualized. But a slides a slide, so Margie decided to be the first to test it out. It was a lot of fun!



So much fun in fact, that the next night (after we had enjoyed a famous Omaha steak) we got the whole gang together and revisited the slide. We had been told that if we sat on waxed paper and went down the slide we would gain some extra speed. I tested this theory first, and they were right, I was airborne at some points and was not able to stick a landing and ended up on my bottom with my legs in some form of a split.



Downtown Omaha had many beautiful sights, restaurants, and fun. It's a great place to visit!
