It has been incredibly cold the last few days in South Mississippi, too cold to even get out! So I've been inside trying to stay warm and got the grand idea that I need to clean out my closet (actually I originally planned to clean out multiple closets but after tackling one I think I'll save the rest for another day!).
Target had these really cute bins on display, super cute, polka dot and rainbow! Any time I see new things on display my brain starts try to create projects and uses for all these cute new items! Which is probably why I have an overloaded closet to start with. So first thing this morning I went to Target to stock up on these polka dot storage bins.
I got home and started "organizing" the closet in my bedroom. Now I am a very organized person, but I do love to shop and from time to time the excessive shopping takes over and I run out of space! I quickly realized that I have 12 pairs of Brooks running shoes, the same shoe in different colors. Why? Why would I purchase 12 pair of the exact same shoe? I guess I thought it would make running easier, which of course was not the case.
After this startling discovery, I then started with the blue jeans. I was shocked!! Ok...I had....40 pairs of blue jeans!! Seriously?!? And the sad part is they are all wearable, I did manage to part with a few pair that were too faded but I still have way too many!
I plan on taking all of the "give-away" clothes to goodwill. I had so many things that I have only worn once and many that still had tags on them. So! If you see me in a store and I am purchasing an item of clothing, stop me immediately!

I also had over 50 purses, I got rid of most of these, I think I'm down to like 25 now! Out of control!
