Tis the Season to be....BAKING!

I love Christmas and I love to bake.  So baking Christmas treats is one of my favorite things to do during the holidays.  I have been baking this week and giving away sweet treats to all my friends!

I've posted most of the recipes before, so enjoy the pics!
Peppermint Kiss Sugar Cookies - These are very festive!

These look so great all packaged and ready to give away.

Ambrosia Crunch - Easy and delicious

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies - with Christmas M&M's, chocolate chips and white chocolate chips.  So good!

A family favorite and must have - Haystacks!

This is a new addition to the holiday baking menu - Crinkle Cookies!  I got this recipe at Margie's cookie swap this year!
Crinkle Cookies
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 box Duncan Hines, Devil's Food Cake Mix
Powdered Sugar

Mix all ingredients well.  Refrigerate mixture for 2 hours.  Roll dough into balls, then roll in powdered sugar.  Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

I make treat baskets for the men in my family, it's always their favorite gift!

Margie hosted her 3rd annual "Cookie Swap" again this year.  I made Marshmallow Fudge Cake.  My mom has made this for years, it was my great-grandmother's favorite dessert.
1 cup butter, melted
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans, toasted
1 (10.5 ounce) bag miniature marshmallows

Chocolate Frosting
1 (16 ounce) packaged powdered sugar, sifted
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa

Whisk together melted better, sugar, cocoa, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl. Stir in flour and pecans.  Pour batter into a greased and floured 15x10 inch jellyroll pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.  Remove from oven; top warm cake with marshmallows.  Return to oven, and bake 5 more minutes.  Drizzle with chocolate frosting.  Cool completely.

Everyone brought such delicious cookies, I got so many great recipes!

Margie's house was decorated so cute for Christmas.

 Cookie Swap Queen, Margie!

It's fun to see everyone and catch up!

Happy Baking!!!!
