Frosting Friday: CUPCAKE edition!
I've found this cute reality show (I love a good reality show....) on TLC called "DC Cupcakes." It follows these two sisters who have opened their own cupcake shop in Washington, DC called "Georgetown Cupcakes." They make the cutest cupcakes and it made me want to whip up some of my own! Plus, I really wish I had a bakery and a reality show too!
Here are my cupcakes, this is an adapted recipe from another cake recipe that I've posted about before. This recipe makes the most moist cake ever!
I found a good recipe on another baking blog for butter creme icing and frosted them with that yummy concoction.
You can always add sprinkles for a little jazz, I always say they are the glitter of food! And who doesn't like glitter?!
Chocolate, Chocolate-Chip Cupcakes
1 box devil's food cake
1 box Jello chocolate fudge instant pudding mix
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
4 eggs, beaten
16 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mix cake mix, pudding mix, oil, sour cream, milk and eggs until well blended. Then stir in chocolate chips. Try not to eat all the batter, scoop into a lined cupcake tin. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
Vanilla Butter-Creme Icing
2 sticks butter, room temperature
4-6 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 TBSP. vanilla extract
Cream together butter and sugar, pour in milk and vanilla. Whip until it is a good piping consistency.

I just found your blog, it's cute I really like your pictures!
