So...
Sunday night the San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Finals in a dominating victory over the Miami Heat. The Finals began with game one on Thursday, June 5, in San Antonio. Wouldn't it be fun to go to a NBA Finals game? It's like the Super Bowl of basketball!
We'll the Spurs played game one at 8:00 PM last Thursday night. Mack woke up at 5:00 AM (in Mississippi!) and bought tickets to the game that morning, so at the "SPUR" of the moment we headed to Texas!
About 8 hours later we arrived at the AT&T Center ready to cheer on the Spurs! Go Spurs Go!
What an experience. The Spurs fans are like no other, they love their Spurs. Here's a quick video that gives you a look at how it all went down!
The Spurs have won four championships already and they would go on to win the series and their 5th Championship!
We got to the arena in plenty of time to see everyone warm up before the big game.
The court and sidelines were like a "Who's Who", lots of famous faces everywhere!
Dwayne Wade
Tim Duncan
Tony Parker
Manu Ginobili
Stuart Scott hugging it out
Jeff Van Gundy
Jalen Rose
Spurs shirts for everyone!

Game Time!!
We had super AWESOME seats! We were 13 rows behind the Spurs bench. What we soon realized is that the first 12 rows behind the Spurs bench are reserved for the players' families! We were sitting with some VIPs!
Directly in front of us was Marco Belnelli's (#3) family. We became quick game day friends and high-fived throughout the game. Three rows in front of us were Tony Parker's parents, mom wearing a completely sequined white cowboy hat!!
The Spurs won game one and the arena erupted with chants of "Beat the Heat"!
As we were going back to the hotel we began to notice that all of the streets were blocked by police. We soon realized that all the Spurs fans were having an impromptu parade! People were hanging from their cars, honking horns, waving flags! It was pure chaos! And that was just game one!
San Antonio loves the Spurs!
The next day we took a quick tour of downtown San Antonio. We visited the Alamo.
And the Riverwalk! The Riverwalk is beautiful, full of restaurants and shopping. If you ever go to San Antonio this is were you should spend your time!
We took a river boat tour, everything was so pretty. They say they have parades throughout the year for different holidays and events. And that Christmas is the best, everything is covered in Christmas lights!
I'd love to be at the Riverwalk today! They're having a Championship Parade, the team are on the boats as the fans line the Riverwalk. What fun!!

Go Spurs Go!
