During the first couple of weeks of July I made a trip to visit Mack's family in Tennessee.
Mack's family lives in a beautiful neighborhood on a lake. We were there for the 4th of July and had a great time.
The moment you arrive at their house there is one member of the family that needs no introduction....CHARLIE! Charlie is a large golden-doodle. When we opened the door for the first time he came barreling out! He is so friendly and playful (and huge)!
There is also Mollie, a sweet chocolate lab, that just watches Charlie act crazy. I tried one night to get my pic with both pups.
Umm....Charlie, we want a picture of all of us...
It took a few shots to get everyone still and looking the same way...

Getting ready to go to the lake on the 4th
(Mack's in full "vacation mode"...)
Beech Lake
Beautiful fireworks on the lake
The fun part of being in Mack's hometown was seeing all his sports accomplishments. He was quite the athlete, he was a fan favorite of "Tiger Town"!
Tennessee state record for assist in a career!
Golf state champions
Mack's favorite place in Lexington, Pine Tree County Club. He enjoyed playing golf with all his hometown friends!
They even have a sign commemorating the state championship!
Lots of golf....
We visited Mack's nana while we were in town. She made a delicious meal and was so kind. She has so many pictures and scrapbooks of Mack. She was proud to show them and they were fun to see!
Baby Mack
Famous milkshakes!
After visiting Lexington we went to Nashville. The "Battle in the Boro" basketball tournament was going on and we helped work the tournament.
The tournament was fun with hundreds of college coaches in attendance to recruit players. I saw coaches from all over, I got a little star-struck at times!
Working at the tournament
My favorite part of the trip to Nashville, shopping at the Green Hills mall! This may be the best mall ever. It has the best stores and it's so fab!
I immediately spotted Tory Burch!
Look what I got!
GOLD. LOVE.
What a fun trip! I'm definitely not singing "Rocky Top", I'll always sing "Southern Miss to the Top", but it's hard to pass up a photo opp in Vol Country.
