Last weekend, my Mom, brother, and I went to Pensacola Beach for a short vacation. We haven't done this in several summers and had an open weekend and took advantage of it! We had a blast and beautiful weather.
One of the first things we did when we got to the beach was we buried one another in the sand. It was a lot of fun and of course very messy. Rob made me into a mermaid, I originally was going to make him into a sea turtle, but I didn't have the adequate supplies for all of that sculpting! So he was a "mer-man" instead!
We also did some hunting for crabs and seashells. We found many beautiful shells and lots of huge pieces of sand-dollars. In our hunt we did find one baby crab and a baby flounder fish. This was a lot of fun, we even went out one night with flashlights to see if we could find any "ghost crabs," we didn't see that many this trip.
We had a wonderful time in Pensacola and enjoyed being together before school starts back. I'll be beginning my fourth year teaching Kindergarten, Robert will be starting his freshman year of college and my mom will be back to work in the school office. It was a good time to be together before our busy fall semesters begin!
